When outside broadcasts required power outside of the actual Studio. There was a problem in producing a supply that could cope with the loads needed by the studio equipment, quite often an expensive generator lorry had to be hired.

The solution was that we ran two 120mm SWA cables in Parallel to a HV Switchboard above the studio and terminated this to a purpose built enclosure with a Powersafe Sequential Box on the studio floor, from where power safe extension leads could be taken outside.
